Fatness Update

Today's weight: 289 pounds

Back below 290 again, so now I have to bear down and stay in control to drop to 285 by month end. This can be done. I do have to get back to the gym because I haven't been there for almost a week. I'm just gonna focus on keeping the carbs under control while drinking several low carb protein drinks per day. Not going to worry about anything else.

Stay on track for the 10k.

Relaxing Day

Today's weight: 289 pounds

Yesterday was a good day, however I just did aerobics, riding the elliptical machine for 35 minutes. No lifting at all and I it was great to rest. I was sufficiently wasted, and today I dropped back down. I'm quite pleased, and hope that the next few weeks will show some good results.

We decided to get some Panda Express, I had the pork and chow mein, and that was enough to keep me satisfied. I think it's called the Panda Bowl. Normally I would have had the two sides and chow mein but I am glad I resisted and just had the one side.

I'll rest today and tomorrow with a possible walk tomorrow and then hit the gym hard on Monday.

Had a very good workout yesterday, with 30 minutes on the elliptical machine followed by some leg exercises. I'm on track so that's all that matters. Gotta head to the gym today to complete my weekly work out. Next week I'll shoot for 40 minutes on the elliptical. My weight loss concerns me, but I have to focus on the end result, which is the 10km run.

Hump Day

Today's weight: 290 pounds

Up a pound but I'm fine with it. Yesterday's work out was really a good one, with 25 minutes spent on the elliptical machine. I ended the session with some weightlifting and that was enough for the day. Today is a rest day, so tomorrow I'll go back for more torture.

I feel pretty confident with the decision to focus on the 10k run in May. If all goes as planned, I hope to lose enough weight to put in a fairly good time. My goal is to run the thing in under ten minutes per mile. Right now I have to get my endurance up and my weight down.

I plan on lifting four days a week, but I don't have the exercises down yet for each day, so what I'll concentrate on is getting that tightened up. I may wind up going to the gym five days a week, but right now I'm not there yet.

Talk is cheap. I can blab all day but nothing accomplished by doing that. I need to work on tracking my steps with Walkertracker.

Tuesday, January 5th

Today's weight: 289 pounds

Fatness abounds, but I feel pretty good after yesterday's work out. I lifted weights and ate moderately, spending the evening eating some leftover Nutrisystem food that really gives me gas. I stopped that program months ago, so now I've got to eat this food that is sitting in boxes. It tastes okay, but Lord do I fart behind it.

Yesterday's workout consisted of riding the elliptical machine for 25 minutes and then lifting some weights. I was a bit sore last night but nonetheless feel pretty good for what I accomplished. I'll go back to the gym for some more torture.

I decided at the beginning of the year I will run a 10 km run in May, so that's what I'm preparing for. If I focus on that, I think my weight will drop with the training. My main purpose right now is to get the elliptical up to an hour and then continue lifting weights. That should get me in shape for the run. If I drop weight while training for this, then I will achieve my goal.

After downing a few beers last night, I am ready to start the week with gusto. I'll head to the gym for a nice work out, do a few chores, and stay under food control. The Schwan's man is coming so I have to be prepared for that, but I feel confident about my diet. It's time to drop back into the 270's.

January 2nd, 2010

January 1: 292 pounds
January 2: 288 pounds

Dropped back into the 280's after starting out the new year at 292. Yesterday was a low carb day which consisted of protein drinks, some eggs and bacon, and smoked trout. I managed to hang tough and today is more of the same. So far I've had two protein drinks, some liverwurst, and some American cheese. We'll see how the rest of the day goes.
